Support Workers (One Trust)

The Role

With our headquarters and a Complex Needs Hub in the London borough of Wandsworth (SW17), we also operate services from 3 additional community bases in the borough – Tooting (SW17), Putney (SW15) and Wandsworth (SW18) as well as from Sutton Inclusion Centre (SM1).

We provide leading edge services, opportunities, therapies, and respite, to people with profound and multiple learning disability and their family carers.   Striving to offer a safe, proactive, and flexible service, we enable recipients to reach their full potential and live fulfilling lives.

We are looking for Support Workers to work with individuals covering the full spectrum of learning and physical disability.  You will manage a caseload and fulfil key worker duties in helping to deliver person-centred plans. You will provide support:

  • with all aspects of personal care
  • for service users with challenging behaviours
  • to administer medical interventions, medication and first aid
  • planning activities for service users and supporting them to access resources and amenities within the community
  • with implementing and completing risk assessments

Previous experience of working with people with learning and physical disabilities is not essential as training and support will be provided however you will need to demonstrate genuine empathy for our service users and an understanding of and commitment to the principles in our mission statement.

You must have good IT skills to be able to input and update information in databases and the ability to write with good spelling and grammar.

The working pattern for these roles is Monday to Friday 9-4 and you may be required to work at any location where our services are provided.
