Supported Travel Team Leader

The Role

The London Boroughs of Richmond upon Thames and Wandsworth present a unique opportunity to be part of a team who work together in a ground-breaking shared staffing structure across both boroughs.

The post is based in the Parking Service, which is located in the Resources Service Directorate and will be part of a team reporting directly to the Permits and Supported Travel Manager and Head of Parking Compliance.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and flexible member of staff who will be responsible for leading a team in the processing of applications for the Supported Travel Team in accordance with local Policies and Department for Transport guidance for both boroughs. You will manage a team of 7 staff, providing assistance for processing an array of applications ranging from Blue Badge, Freedom Pass and Taxi card within agreed turnaround times, whilst protecting the integrity of the scheme and development processes.

Ideally, you should have experience of leading a team to meet turnaround times and an understanding of the schemes being provided and the needs of vulnerable clients in terms of customer service, which is delivered in all forms of contact. Due to the provision of telephone services between the hours of 9 am and 5 pm, working hours are required to suit the service needs.
