Systems Support Officer

The Role

Our Quality and Systems Team is looking to recruit a Systems Support Officer to join our team and help play a vital role in achieving positive outcomes for our residents.

About the team

We maintain and update the IT systems used in the administration of Parking, Housing Benefit and Council Tax for both Richmond and Wandsworth Councils. This is a vital role to ensure both Richmond Council & Wandsworth Council collect the funds needed to provide the highest quality services to our residents.

About the role  

This is an interesting and varied role that includes the following:

  • maintenance and update of the IT systems as well as provision of accurate management information data in a highly paced, changing environment.
  • staff supervision, ensuring work is completed to a constantly high standard and all targets are achieved.

You will need

  • to have an in-depth knowledge of providing system support in respect of the administration of either Parking, Housing Benefit or Council Tax.
  • to be an expert in the processes, procedures, and statutory framework underpinning either Parking, Housing Benefit or Council Tax. Your expert knowledge is essential in carrying out extensive testing of new software releases and bug fixes across the systems we support. 
  • to have significant knowledge and experience of using MS Office packages, such as Word and Excel to an advanced level.
