Teacher of Art and Design (0.4) - St Mary's CE Primary School

The Role

Potential candidates must be available to work on Mondays and Tuesdays
Required from May 2019

An inspiring individual is required from May 2019 to teach Art from the Nursery to Year Six as an integral part of the school’s specialist PPA Cover provision (on Mondays and Tuesdays). We are looking to appoint an energetic, creative and well qualified teacher of Art and Design.

St Mary’s CE Primary School is a successful and inclusive Church of England Primary School serving the local community. The school has a dedicated and well-resourced Art Room. You would be joining a friendly and hard working staff team, working in partnership with our supportive families and committed Governing Body to provide our enthusiastic and well behaved children with high quality learning opportunities.

The Governors wish to appoint an outstanding teacher with suitable experience. They are looking for a passionate and creative teacher who will make a significant contribution to our outstanding school.

• A commitment to children’s learning through consistently high quality teaching
• A track record of raising achievement for all pupils
• The ability to teach across the EYFS, KS1 and KS2
• The ability to lead the development of Art and Design and Design Technology across the school

• Initiative and creativity

Included with the letter of application, all applicants will be required to complete the SDBE application form containing questions about their employment history and their suitability for the role. Names and addresses of two referees should also be supplied.

The interview will involve a tour of the school, an interview and the requirement to teach a lesson.
