Lead Teacher of Computer Science - Ernest Bevin College

The Role

Ernest Bevin College, whose students are aged between 11-19, is a vibrant and a truly inclusive all boys college with a mixed sixth form.  Based in Tooting, South West London, our college takes pride in having an exceptional level of pastoral care where all staff are dedicated to giving each and every student both a quality learning experience and the life skills that opens doors to any career path they wish to tread in the future.

Our students, governors and staff are now seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and creative Lead Teacher of Computer Science to join our college. The successful candidate will be a committed team player, keen to contribute to the college’s drive to inspire and raise attainment of all students.

Computer Science is taught from KS3 to KS5, and at A-Level; we also offer vocational ICT courses in KS5. We have fully equipped classrooms in a dedicated computer science area. Computer Science is a very popular choice at the college and a number of our students go onto studying the subject at university. 

Your teaching should be of high quality and reflected in your student’s results. You should be committed to developing active and innovative approaches to learning, both inside and outside the classroom.

This role will include:

  • Supporting the Head of Department in leading the current teaching and learning strategies and develop their own teaching practice.
  • Teaching across all key stages.
  • Leading, motivating and inspiring students and colleagues.
