At Graveney we are committed to delivering a broad and exciting curriculum to all of our students. We are a school with the highest aspirations and ensure exemplary standards of behaviour. We consistently achieve outstanding examination outcomes at both GCSE and A-Level, however we believe in far more than academic success. Our curriculum encompasses a full range of experiences that will develop the students into confident, resilient and successful young adults with the prospect of a great future. In an increasingly digital and automated world, we believe that studying Computing is vital to ensure our students can access the future job opportunities in this field. Therefore all students study the subject until Year 9 and we are proud that many students opt to continue this into GCSE and A-Level.

We invite you to join a department focused on delivering a Computing curriculum which provides opportunities for learners of all abilities to access Computer Science in a fun and engaging way.  As a flexible practitioner, you will teach across a wide ability range while maintaining high expectations for all learners. The department is dynamic, supportive and successful with a long history of excellent results at KS4 & 5 (in 2019 64% of GCSE students achieved grades 7 - 9).  We have an exciting programme of study at KS3 with an emphasis on how computers work, data handling, HTML and programming in particular. At KS4/5, we currently teach GCSE Computer Science, Level 2 BTEC in Creative Media Production, A level Computer Science and Level 3 BTEC ICT.

Applications are welcome from newly qualified and experienced teachers of Computing who have high standards, commitment, passion and the ability to teach across the full range of age and ability, up to and including A-level. A TLR may be available for the right candidate.
