Required for September 2020

We seek an enthusiastic, well-qualified and creative teacher of Film and Media to join our high performing department. The ability to teach English would be an advantage.

This post is suitable for either an NQT, for whom excellent support would be available or an experienced practitioner with the possibility of a TLR for Film/Media responsibility. As the lead partner in the Wandle Teaching School Alliance we are able to offer exceptional opportunities for professional development.

The Film Studies department achieved 83% 9-4 at GCSE in 2019 and has been in the top 25% of Film departments nationally for value-added at A-Level. A-Level Media Studies results are in the top 10% of schools nationally. The Film and Media department boasts excellent accommodation and facilities with consistently outstanding results across KS4 and KS5. ICT in both English and Media are well-developed.

Chestnut Grove is a high performing, 11-18, multi-cultural school in Balham, South London. We have recently completed a multi-million pound building programme which has provided staff and students with a modern building. There are plans to expand the school further by 2020.
