Graveney is an extremely popular and successful 11-18 School, situated in South West London, SW17 with the benefit of being situated in beautiful campus style surroundings with excellent facilities and a warm community atmosphere. We have a commitment to providing the best opportunities to all students and to developing the professional skills and career opportunities of our staff, within a supportive and collaborative environment

Designated ‘outstanding’ by Ofsted in November 2022 and widely recognised as one of the top 100 state funded schools in the country.

We require a committed and enthusiastic teacher to join our highly successful department.  Applications are welcome from suitably qualified ECTs and experienced teachers. The successful candidate will be expected to teach across the full range of age and ability from KS3 to KS5.

The History and Politics department is a positive and supportive environment that employs a range of dynamic teaching styles and is committed to innovative curriculum development. The successful candidate will demonstrate an enthusiasm for teaching modern British and American History as well as History GCSE but prior knowledge of these topics and courses is not vital.

History is an extremely successful and popular subject at Graveney. We currently run seven classes in both Yr. 10 and 11 and results at Key Stage 4 are well above the National average. History and Politics continue to be popular subjects in the sixth form. An ability or desire to teach Politics at A level would be an advantage for this post but is not a requirement. Many of our students go on to read History or Politics related courses at university and we often have a number of successful Oxbridge candidates.
