Are you a qualified ToD or experienced teacher looking for your next challenge? Are you eager to develop and progress your career by teaching deaf students? Then, apply to join Wandsworth Sensory Support Service as a ToD in Wandsworth Secondary Hearing Support Centre (HSC).

The Wandsworth Sensory Support Service is a leading provider of education for children and young people aged 0 – 25 years with a sensory impairment. The Rowan Hearing Support Centre supports secondary aged deaf children (aged 11 – 18) and is based within Southfields Academy, Southfields. The Centre has excellent facilities and resources and is part of a supportive and nurturing environment.

This is a fantastic and rare chance for an experienced Teacher of the Deaf or an outstanding teacher who is willing to undertake the mandatory training course, to join our friendly, supportive teaching team in the Rowan Hearing Support Centre.

This opportunity is for a teacher who is passionate about transforming the lives of deaf children and young people. You will be working in a small team of colleagues committed to providing high quality support to the pupils within the resource provision.

Experience of teaching in a secondary setting is desirable but applications from teachers with experience of working in KS2 also welcomed.

Applicants who do not hold the mandatory qualification, must have completed their statutory induction period and be willing to undertake the part-time, two-year Teacher of the Deaf training.
