Required from September 2021 applications are welcome from suitably qualified NQTS as well as experienced, committed teachers to join a highly successful department, to provide maternity cover, in the first instance. 

English is an extremely successful and popular subject at Graveney.  Key Stage 4 results in June 2020 were 94% grades 9 -4 in Language and 96% in Literature.   Key Stage 5 results are also well above the national average and there are currently 209 students studying English Literature at A/AS Level. The Department employs a range of dynamic teaching styles and is committed to innovative curriculum development.   You will have the opportunity to teach across the age and ability range at Key Stages 3, 4 and 5.

The ability to teach some Media Studies/and or Drama would also be desirable and for the right candidate there is the possibility of TLR responsibilities within the Department.

The selection process is likely to take place ‘in person’ under strict social distancing guidelines and will comprise a lesson observation, data task and panel interview.
