Teaching Assistant - Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Primary School

The Role

32.5 hours per week (Mon-Fri 08:30–03:30)
Term time only (38 Weeks)
Required from December 2022

The Governors of this popular, happy and successful Catholic school wish to appoint an enthusiastic and organised Teaching Assistant to join our excellent team. 

We are looking for someone with an interest in supporting children’s education.

This post would suit somebody who is, or wants to become, an outstanding Teaching Assistant. The successful applicant will be responsible under the direction or instruction of the teacher or line manager, for working with: individual pupils, small groups and to supervise physical and general care of pupils, including those with SEN. The role will involve supporting access to learning for pupils and providing general support to the class teacher in the management of pupils and the classroom.

Ideally, we are looking for someone with experience of working in a primary setting, including working with SEN pupils, specifically pupils with social communication difficulties, ASD or ADHD. The person will be organised, be able to communicate effectively, enjoy learning and be sympathetic to the ethos of the school.

Visits to the school are warmly welcome.
