Wandsworth Sensory Support Service is a provider of education for deaf children and young people. We are constantly building and growing our provision and an opportunity to join our highly motivated and skilled team as a Teaching Assistant has become available.
This is an opportunity for someone who is passionate about transforming young peoples’ lives and has a desire to develop their career within a Specialist Resource provision within Mainstream schools (Primary and/or Secondary). You'll be working in a small team of colleagues committed to providing high quality support and education to the children and young people within the units.
The Willow Hearing Support Centre (based at Sellincourt Primary school) caters for deaf children of Early Years to the end of Key Stage 2. The Rowan Hearing Support Centre (based at Southfields Academy) caters for children and young people from Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 5. Within both centres, you will be working under the guidance and supervision of highly skilled Teachers of the Deaf and you will be providing specialist input to enable the children and young people within the centres to achieve their full potential.
Experience in a similar setting would be an advantage but training will be provided for the right candidate if required.
