The role

Transactional Services are excited to present this unique opportunity within the General Ledger section of the team.

The post is in the Finance Directorate, where the team are responsible for contract monitoring and undertaking various finance functions in relation to cash management and financial postings. 

About you

The successful post holder will be part of a busy small team responsible for loading and reconciling the bank statements for the 2 councils across 5 environments. This will involve interface uploads, managing outgoing direct debits, investigation of unidentified payments and other similar reconciliation functions. The team also cover the administration of Procurement cards for both councils.

We are looking for a well-organised, motivated and flexible individual to join us. Along with a 'can do' attitude towards work, the ideal candidate will be a strong team player and target driven. Good communication skills are required to support Integra users and to liaise with Capita teams for issue resolution.

The successful candidate will use the Councils main financial system Integra so current knowledge and experience of this would be preferable however on the job training will be given. There will be considerable use of Excel for data manipulation therefore candidates should have proven knowledge and experience of using Excel and other analytical skills, as well as a keen eye for numerical detail and a good attention to detail.
