We have several posts with the following option.
Option 1 - 22.30 hours per week (7.30 am – 9am and 3pm – 6pm)
Option 2 - 7.30 hours per week: (7.30 am – 9am)
Option 3 - 5 hours per week: (3pm – 6pm)
39 weeks a year: term time only plus inset day
Salary – NJC Scale 1C point 2
In September 2024, Allfarthing School launched our own after school care for our community. Due to its overwhelming success, we are seeking additional staff to continue providing high quality experiences and allow for the expansion of the provision.
We wish to appoint people who have experience of working with children and have high expectations of themselves and children. We have a thriving community and are looking for applicants who inspire our children and who lead with kindness.

You will have experience of:
- Creating a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment for children
- Engaging effectively and developing genuine bonds with the children in your care
- Sharing responsibility for the welfare of all children, following systems to ensure consistent, high-quality care
- Contribute to the planning and the provision of a stimulating range of age-appropriate activities, ensuring the club is well-resourced and creatively setup
- Engage in recreational activities and the provision of healthy food –assisting in the serving and tidying away
- Being vigilant and protecting children from harm or abuse, reporting any concerns immediately – in accordance with Child Protection and Safeguarding Policies
- Providing feedback and working in partnership with key parents, carers and school staff, building and maintaining relationships that encourage trust, open communication and involvement in school life.
- Contributing to the effective recording and resolution of any complaints or investigations, ensuring confidentiality at all times.
- Being a professional and a good role model to the children and other staff members, at all times.
You will also have:
- Flexibility, drive, determination and commitment to ensure the children at Allfarthing have the best opportunities that they can
- A fun and energetic nature
- To be reliable and communicate effectively with colleagues and children
- A strong belief in inclusion and achievement for all children
- A willingness to develop awareness of Allfarthing Policies and procedures and ensure these are adhered to
