After School Club Cook / Assistant - Swaffield Primary School

About Us

12 hours per week (4 days a week - Mon, Tuesday, Wed, Thursday 2.30 PM to 5.30PM) 

Term time only (39 weeks) 

Required for October 2025 

 

Are you an enthusiastic and caring team player who would like to join our after school club team? Do you have the skills to support the development of our After School Club? 

 

Have you worked in the catering industry, cooking and preparing food? Do you want to be part of a dedicated team who work with children? We are looking to recruit a TEAM MEMBER to work primarily in our After School Club to prepare, cook and serve dinner to our children. You should be interested in catering and hospitality and additionally be supportive across the service and supportive of the after school club service. 

 

We are looking for highly motivated, enthusiastic and caring staff member to provide a range of activities in our After School Club –SUNSET OUT OF SCHOOL CARE 

 

You will: 

 

  • prepare, cook and serve dinner to our children 
  • assist with the day to day running and organisation 
  • work as part of a team to provide a stimulating and child centred environment 
  • lead enrichment sessions and provide creative opportunities for play 
  • ensure the safety, well-being and good behaviour of children 
  • assist with the preparation of light snacks and cooked meals 
  • administer first aid as appropriate 
  • assist with day to day record keeping e.g. registers 
  • liaise with parents of children attending After School Care 
  • have fun 

 

It is important to us at Swaffield that the adults contribute to the growth and development of every child and support their individual needs. Previous experience of working with children in the 3-11 age range is essential. A level 3 qualification or Accredited Foundation Food Hygiene Certificate or NVQ/ Level 2 in food production in cooking or equivalent would be welcome.
