Building Services Manager - Ashcroft Technology Academy

We are seeking to appoint an experienced and well-qualified Building Services Manager in one of the country’s leading secondary schools.  The successful candidate will report to the Vice-Principal, will possess a full working knowledge of site-related matters and will lead, develop and manage a dedicated and motivated team of premises assistants and day-time cleaning staff, and a team of part-time cleaners. He or she will have a high-level understanding of both maintenance work and health and safety and have the appropriate communication skills to liaise with a range of clients including staff, students, contractors and hirers.  He or she will also enjoy being in a prominent role in a busy school environment – be very visible, and well-known and respected by staff and students.    

 

The Academy places importance on the appearance of its buildings and dedicates a large budget to ensuring that they are maintained to high order. The postholder will share our vision and will be well supported in proactively managing the team and the buildings. It goes without saying that the successful candidate will be organised, approachable and a team player. Experience of this type of role within a school or similar environment would be expected.
