Early Years ASD Resource Base Manager - Little Hillbrook

Please Note: The application deadline for this job has now passed.

The Role

Permanent
Start date – Summer Term 2023

Hillbrook Primary School is a very happy and successful learning community where everyone is welcomed and valued. We are a large 3 – 4 form entry school based in the heart of Tooting in South West London and very close to both Tooting Bec and Tooting Broadway Stations. We are proud to be an outstanding school with a great reputation and close links to our community.

The role of Early Years ASD Resource Base Manager is a very exciting opportunity to lead and further develop our provision for children with social and communication difficulties. Little Hillbrook is part of our school site, close to our Early Years base.

Little Hillbrook caters for up to 22 FTE pupils aged 2 – 4 who have been identified as needing further support with social communication and language needs. The children attending Little Hillbrook will have a diagnosis or queried diagnosis of ASD/Communication disorder or be under assessment. In September 2022, we expanded Little Hillbrook to provide an additional class for 7 Reception aged children. This programme was a school readiness pilot aiming to prepare children with the skills and abilities to continue to access a base setting or a mainstream alternative. The expansion pilot is due for an imminent review and we anticipate it to continue into 2023/24. The school is proud of its inclusive ethos and of its commitment to meet the needs of all its pupils.
