Salary - £19,832 -£20,437 (FTE £39,150 - £40,344)
Hours: 20 hours per week, 5 days a week, term time only
Contract: Permanent
Based: Smugglers Way, Wandsworth, SW18 but may include travel to schools in four local boroughs
WRWA is responsible for managing the waste generated in four London Boroughs (Wandsworth, Lambeth, Hammersmith and Fulham and Kensington and Chelsea) through either re-use, recycling or disposal (the 3Rs). We are looking to recruit a new Education Officer, to help deliver our very much in demand Education Programme.
About the role
Your main goal will be to assist in the delivery of our Education Programme, providing educational talks and workshops to schools and adult groups, through on-site visits to our Smugglers Way site or in educational establishments in the WRWA area.
About You
You will need to:
- demonstrate a good understanding of the three R's and wider climate change issues
- possess good organisational and planning skills
- demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills and
- have proven experience in presenting to a wide range of audiences.
