HEAD GARDENER REQUIRED AT THE SOUTHWEST MIDDLESEX CREMATORIUM

• Salary: £30,585
• Local Government Pension Scheme
• Permanent Position
• 36 hours per week – flexible working will be required to suit the needs of the service.
• 27 Days Annual Leave

Location: The South West Middlesex Crematorium, Hanworth, Middlesex.

We offer the opportunity to work in an environment that is focused solely on delivering services to the bereaved.   

The Crematorium requires an experienced Head Gardener to take charge of the award-winning Crematorium Gardens of Remembrance and grounds and management of a small team.

You must possess a minimum NVQ3 in Amenity Horticulture (landscaping) or equivalent, with minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar supervisory position.

The gardens and grounds extend over 11 acres and are a mixture of formal landscaped and wooded areas. 

You will be in daily contact with members of the public and will be expected to assist bereaved family members in a sympathetic manner.

In addition, you will have practical experience of implementing an equal opportunities policy, both in the workplace and in delivering a public service.
