Head of Care - Oak Lodge School

The Role

Residential Officer Grade D spine 23 to Grade E spine 33 depending on experience and qualifications (Full Time Equivalent 35,223.00 - £42,510.00)

Term time only (39 weeks), 40 hours per week

Please Note: 2 weekly overnight shifts as duty manager will be a requirement of the post holder. 

We are seeking to appoint a Head of Residential Care for our Residential department, Phoenix House. The department provides residential care for children aged between the ages of 11 to 19 years who are d/deaf with a range of complex communication, sensory and physical needs who attend Oak Lodge School.

Oak Lodge School has a newly refurbished accommodation for weekly boarders. Oak Lodge is committed to being a unique provision supporting pupils who are D/deaf and / or have Speech and Communication needs.

Rated as OUTSTANDING twice by OFSTED Oak Lodge is looking for an exceptional to person for our Head of Care.  You will lead a dedicated team of experienced staff. If you have the experience and skills we are looking for, an understanding of the needs of pupils with hearing, speech, language and communication challenges, and a sense of humour then please contact the Headteacher, Caroline Rowlandson on 0208 673 3453 to arrange a visit and meet some of the staff and pupils.

Our Phoenix House Residential Unit is an integral part of the offer we have available for up to seventeen young people aged 11 -19 years. Weekly boarders flourish in the warm family atmosphere and become responsible, confident and independent young people.
