Head of Extra-Curricular Music - Graveney School

We are looking for an exceptional musician and outstanding classroom practitioner to join our team. You will teach across all three key stages, and oversee our busy extra-curricular programme. Experience of classroom teaching and leading ensembles is essential, and strong keyboard skills are highly desirable.

As Head of Extra-Curricular Music, you will work with the Head of Music to manage and develop our extra-curricular provision, which currently includes an orchestra, jazz and concert bands, five choirs, string and wind ensembles, junior training groups and many other chamber ensembles. You will be responsible for selecting repertoire, rehearsing and directing our flagship groups, and liaising with support staff and other ensemble leaders, including our peripatetic team. You will work alongside the Head of Music to organise our programme of concerts (approx. 15 per year), including our summer music festival, and, in collaboration with the drama department, the annual school production.

You will become part of a dynamic, fun and friendly team who have built up a reputation of high quality music throughout the local community.
