Learning Support Assistant and Midday Meal Supervisor - Sacred Heart Primary School

The Role

To work with a named two named pupils KS2
32.5 hours per week LSA
Term time only (39 weeks)
Event Linked contract

We are seeking to appoint a strong and adaptable SEN LSA to work with 2 pupils with an Education Health and Care plan in Y2. You must have excellent literacy and numeracy skills and understanding of early reading and phonics. In addition, a working knowledge of how to support pupils with language and communication difficulties, social communication, cognition and learning and social skills is essential. You would be working under the direction of the Year 2 teacher and the Senco.

This is a temporary, event liked contract, linked to 2 named pupils.

We are looking for someone who can:

  • demonstrate successful experience in a primary setting
  • work as part of the staff team
  • show initiative and be able to work independently
  • work with individuals and groups of pupils in class, and in the playground
  • help to organise classroom activities and prepare resources
  • support pupils with additional needs and deliver interventions.

Experience is essential

This post would suit and experienced Teaching Assistant or an aspiring teacher and would provide an excellent opportunity to acquire the skills and experience necessary to apply for teacher training. You must be willing to undertake professional development as required.
