Phoenix House Residential Service forms an integral part of the school. We provide accommodation for a maximum of seventeen young people aged 11-19 years.
Phoenix House is looking for a MSI Residential Worker to provide support for a Deaf Blind student with their social and emotional wellbeing who may have multiple additional needs including mental health issues. The MSI Residential Worker will need to facilitate communication as well.
The student reside in Phoenix House 4 nights a week and staff are required to undertake at least two sleep-in duties to facilitate this. Sleep-in duties are paid as extra and is not inclusive of working hours.
Staff must be able to work shift hours, on rota, as required, usually between the hours of 7am–8.30am and 3pm–10pm plus sleep –in duties. 30 minutes unpaid break are given each day. We are looking for a MSI Residential Worker who has excellent communication skills, with a good knowledge of D/deafness, communication difficulties, positive behaviour management and additional health and educational needs. Experience of personal care support is preferable.
