“All Saints’ really is the ‘extra’ in extraordinary” (SIAMs Report, 2019). We are a small school with a big heart, where everyone knows everyone and no one is left behind. We believe that we are all created in the image of God, regardless of background, ability, gender, sexuality or faith. It is our vision for our pupils to have confident futures and our road map to getting there is to flourish and be outstanding in everything we do.
We wish to appoint an outstanding part-time MUSIC Teacher to work across the school. Music is highly valued by the school community and has a higher than usual profile. Depending on your skills, there could be scope to broaden the role to include aspects of general PPA release. This means that there is flexibility to agree the contracted hours, currently between 0.2 to 0.5 part-time permanent role. There would also be an opportunity to negotiate private peripatetic instrumental teaching on site.
The ideal candidate will be an energetic and enthusiastic practitioner with a passion to deliver exceptional music opportunities, whilst meeting the requirements of the National Curriculum for Music. They will be imaginative and forward thinking, demonstrate dedication and commitment, ensuring we maintain good outcomes for all pupils. An ability to play the piano would be desirable as well as a commitment to run a school choir and one other music club.
We can offer you:
• An experienced, dedicated and supportive staff team
• Committed parent community
• Enthusiastic children who love coming to school to learn and to sing
• A welcoming, friendly working environment
• A music-rich school with a history of performance
• Opportunities for professional development and curriculum leadership
Candidates are warmly invited to contact Claire Wood, the Headteacher, to discuss the role in greater depth.
