Midday Lunchtime Supervisor - Smallwood Primary School & Children’s Centre

The Role

Midday Lunchtime Supervisor to work in our Early Years Language Unit class
15 Hours per week
38 weeks per year - Term Time Only
Required to work: Monday to Friday 11am – 2pm daily.

Smallwood Primary School is an expanding school, with a Language Resource Base and Children’s Centre, conveniently situated close to Earlsfield mainline station and Tooting Broadway underground. We are currently looking to expand our highly motivated and enthusiastic team of Midday supervisors. Previous experience though not essential would be welcome.

This role will be based in the Early Years Class (3-5 year olds) in our Language Unit, which is for children with Speech, Language and Communication Difficulties and requires initiative and flexibility as well as a commitment to supporting complex children to reach their full potential.

An ability to interact with children in a calm, patient yet firm manner is essential as well as being proactive and involving children in positive play activities. You will also be required to help the children with personal care including feeding and toileting.

You will be a calm, patient and resourceful individual who will be able to respond positively to the challenges of working with pupils of all abilities within a specialist class. You will also join our team of lunchtime supervisors to ensure the safety, well-being and good behaviour of pupils during the lunchtime break.
