Office Manager (HR and Premises) - Chesterton Primary School

The Role

36 hours per week

All year round

Start date: December 2021, depending on notice period we can be flexible.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, friendly and hard-working Office Manager to be part of our vibrant, multicultural and happy school. In the post of Office Manager your role and responsibilities will include leading the administration and premises team in day to day running of the School Office. Working as a key member of the team, you will be ensuring the smooth operation of our front of house services; human resources; day to day oversight of premises; and the administration needed to support the school’s core function of education.

This post would suit an experienced school administrator who is seeking an opportunity to develop their skills further within the primary education sector.

Chesterton is an outstanding two form entry primary school in Battersea. The school is a busy environment as we are also a Teaching School hub, Maths hub, English hub and Early Years hub having recently set up the successful Little Wandle Letters and Sounds Programme. You would join a friendly and dynamic administration team who have a strong team working ethos and seek to drive the front office to be outstanding in all areas. This is a crucial role that will require you to enjoy working in a busy environment, supporting pupils, parents and staff.

We are looking for:

  • An administration qualification and/or appropriate experience (2+ years).
  • Previous experience of HR administration or a relevant qualification.
  • Experience in using SIMS or similar pupil management system is desirable.
  • The ability to manage workloads under pressure, prioritise and problem solve.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to manage a team.
  • The drive and ability to lead and manage the office and provide an excellent service to staff, students and visitors.
  • A commitment to the ethos of the school that is inclusive and inspirational.
  • Have initiative and creativity.
