Receptionist - Bolingbroke Academy

Salary: £21,231 – £22,206 (40 hours per week) Term time only (Salary Pro rated)

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a busy reception area singlehandedly, taking incoming calls, answering visitor queries and supporting Pupil Services activities.
  • Managing pupil attendance during external appointments and documenting daily attendance on the system.
  • Ensuring registers are completed every lesson. 
  • Responsible for the safeguarding of pupils by managing access to the building and following all Keeping Children Safe in Education policies.
  • Manage the communication and documentation of daily detentions.
  •  Organise internal post and communications.

Personal specification

  • The ability to remain calm under pressure and maintain effective communication.
  • Previous receptionist and administrative experience desirable.
  • Good level of computer literacy is required.
  • Have a passion to learn and develop your practice through regular CPD and feedback.
  • Be committed to the values of Inclusion and diversity.
  • The ability to work in a way that promotes the safety and wellbeing of students and pupils.
  • The ability to question and challenge the status quo and find new and progressive solutions to existing systems.
