Residential Worker - Oak Lodge School

The Role

Grade B Spine 9 - 14 (£19,464.63 - £21,562.39)

Full Time equivalent (25.602.00 - £27,993.00)

Hours: 32 hours per week (39 weeks term-time only)

Sleep-in duties not inclusive of hours and is paid extra.

Fixed Term - 1 year contract initially

Phoenix House Residential Service forms an integral part of the school. We provide accommodation for a maximum of fifteen young people aged 11-19 years.

Phoenix House is looking for a Casual Residential Worker to provide support for students with a wide range of needs and communication methods. The students reside in Phoenix House for 1-4 nights a week and staff are required to undertake limited sleep-in duties to facilitate this.

Shift hours available are usually between the hours of 7am–8.45am and 3pm–10pm. There may be some sleep – in duties available. We are looking for a Casual Residential Worker who has excellent communication skills, with a good knowledge of D/deafness, communication difficulties, positive behaviour management and additional health and educational needs. Experience of personal care support is preferable.
