Senior Administrator (A3) - St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School

The Senior Administration Officer is a key member of the school's administrative team and is often the sole member of staff based within the school office. The postholder will be responsible for ensuring the efficient day to day running of the school office, providing a professional and welcoming front of house service, and delivering high quality administrative support to the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), staff, parents, governors, and external agencies.


The successful candidate will be proactive, highly organised, able to work independently, and capable of managing multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all times.

Working in the office, you will need to have a positive, friendly and approachable manner, while maintaining confidentiality at all times. Good communication skills are essential. 

 

As a small primary school, the administrative roles are varied and tasks may arise infrequently. Due to this, problem solving skills are a highly desirable quality and confidence to reach out to the various support providers to seek guidance and support is essential.

 

The post will involve (please also refer to the job description).

 

  • Contributing to the planning, development and organisation of administration systems, procedures and policies that facilitate the smooth operation of the school.
  • Analysing and evaluating data and information to produce relevant reports including HR and finance.
  • Achieving value for money
  • Undertake the administration of human resources matters including contracts of employment

 

You will:

    Have a professional and friendly manner.

    Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

    Be flexible and able to work on your own or as part of a team.

    Have excellent ICT skills and be proficient in a range of software.

    Have excellent time management skills, be able to multi task and solve problems using your own initiative.

 

Qualifications in English or Maths essential and an NVQ3, degree or equivalent are desirable.
