Would you like to make a real difference to the life chances of young people with Special Educational Needs?
We are looking for Learning Support Assistants to join us at Garratt Park School. You will support students with their learning in class, in small groups and on a one-to-one basis. You will also support students’ personal development, wellbeing and independence, helping them to feel safe, successful and prepared for their next steps into adult life.
We welcome applications from experienced LSAs from mainstream or special education settings, graduates considering a career in education, or individuals looking to move into the sector bringing valuable transferable skills and experience. We are proud of our supportive staff team and can offer training and development opportunities for the right candidates.
Some roles may involve supporting students within our ARC provision for pupils with more complex needs. Candidates with relevant experience, training or specialist skills may be considered for a higher salary point within the advertised range.
Garratt Park School is a special school for young people aged 11–19 with moderate learning difficulties and additional needs including Autism, speech, language and communication needs, sensory impairments and a small number of students with more complex needs. We are a welcoming and inclusive school community with a strong focus on therapeutic practice, personal development and preparing students for adulthood.
We are situated in the inner London borough of Wandsworth and most of our students come from the local area and from diverse backgrounds. Earlsfield is well served by public transport with easy access to central London.
Flexible working requests and part-time/job share arrangements will be considered where these can be accommodated within the needs of the school.
