Youth Voice & Influence Officer – South London, Universal Projects

The Role

Full time • £24,700 – £30,700 • South London with travel across UK

We are looking for our new team member to fulfil an exciting role.

We are looking for a Youth Voice and Influence Officer to help us deliver our mission of making services better with young people across in South East London.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to coordinate, develop and build on youth voice projects and programmes – see page 3 of the job description document for more details.

You will recruit, train and support teams of young people to have their say on issues that affect them in their area. Teams of young people could include:

  • Youth Councillors
  • Young Inspectors
  • Young Researchers
  • Young Journalists
  • Peer Educators

Please note, this role will require regular evening and occasional weekend working.

The success of this role relies on building excellent partnerships, bringing the FUN and being passionate about positive social action.

The ‘small print’

Start date: Ideally, we’d like the successful applicant in post no later than July 2022.

Term: This post is fixed-term, for 1 year – with possibility of extension, subject to funding.

Office base: South East London based with access to Participation People offices, across the UK and home working.

Salary: £24,700 – £30,700

Please note – this post involves working with vulnerable children and young people on a regular basis and so is subject to an Enhanced DBS Check. We do not accept CVs.
