Job Title: Resident Participation Manager 

Salary Range: PO4 £43,434 - £52,632

Permanent

Full time- 36.0 hours per week. 

Location:  Reed House, Frogmore Complex, SW18 1EY

As a Resident Participation Manager, your will be responsible for leading on resident engagement activities across the department and providing support, direction and guidance to the four Resident Participation Officers (RPO).

About the role

You will work with senior officers to ensure a strategic approach to resident engagement, helping to develop the annual resident conference and working to expand the informal engagement opportunities available to residents.

You will have knowledge of all resident participation models up to and including resident management organisations.  You should have a genuine commitment to empowering residents and a sound knowledge of relevant legislation.  Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, and confidence in public speaking and chairing meetings are essential for the post, as is experience of working with residents in a multicultural environment.  Regular attendance at meetings outside of normal working hours is a key part of the job.

Essential Qualifications, Skills and Experience

  • Ability to draft complex correspondence and reports on a wide range of issues.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and residents.
  • The ability to develop an imaginative and innovative approach to community engagement.
  • To be able to attend meetings and emergency situations outside of core hours.
